What is a Body Grade?

A Body Grade is a report card for your weight loss habits. You answer 30 questions about what you actually do: what you eat, how you move, how you sleep, what you track, and what quietly sabotages you. Each answer is scored against published research, and you get a letter grade, A through F, for each of five categories plus one overall grade.

The idea exists because the weight loss world splits into two camps that both skip the diagnosis. Tracker apps hand you endless data with no direction. Quiz-funnel apps skip straight to selling a template dressed up as a personal plan. Nobody looks at your actual habits and tells you where you stand, which is the first thing any good coach, doctor, or teacher does.

A grade changes behavior in a way data doesn't. Numbers wash over people. A letter lands. Nobody shrugs at an F in Sleep, and nobody forgets their first A.

How the grade is scored

Every question carries a point value based on the strength and direction of the evidence behind it. Habits with heavyweight research, like resistance training, food logging, and 7 to 9 hours of sleep, move your grade the most. Habits the evidence calls neutral, like diet soda or fasted workouts, are graded honestly as neutral, even when influencers scream otherwise. Every verdict shows its receipts: the evidence summary and how strong that evidence is.

The five categories are weighted by impact: Food counts 30 percent, Training 25, Sleep and Recovery 20, Tracking 15, and Sabotage 10. Your worst category becomes your assigned focus, because fixing the weakest habit first is where the fastest progress lives.

What a Body Grade is not

It is not a judgment of your worth, and it is not medical advice. It grades habits, never people. Medication, surgery, and medical conditions are conversations for you and your doctor, and the grade adjusts around them rather than pretending they don't exist.
